The Sabatti STR Sport bolt-action rifle represents the culmination of Sabatti's years of experience in creating precision shooting rifles. The Sabatti STR Sport stands out for its new stock and barrel design, as well as for its combination of technology that makes it suitable for all long-range sport shooting specialties.
The rifle mounts the excellent Sabatti Blizzard action with three locking lugs that offers a very fast opening angle of 60 degrees, with the bolt and receiver both machined from a single block of special high-strength steel and the cocking knob easily replaceable at the shooter's choice thanks to the 5/16" threaded interface.
The shutter is heat treated, chromed and ground to obtain low roughness of the contact surfaces and high smoothness and silence.
The main feature of the new Sabatti STR Sport is its completely redesigned Ergal-55 aluminum alloy chassis. The chassis is available in two versions: with a standard sporting handguard, equipped with an M-LOK slot and an Arca-Swiss rail; or with a wide, flat handguard, ideal for long-range F-Class precision shooting competitions, featuring an Anschutz rail and other attachments for various types of bipods and supports.
The stock is also new: fixed, skeletonized to reduce overall weight, with an adjustable cheek piece and a Bag Rider on the lower surface for supported shooting. An optional version with adjustable butt plate is also available.
The barrel is cold-hammer forged with Sabatti multi-radial MRR rifling. It is 660mm long with a 22mm muzzle diameter on the STR Sport version; it is 710mm long with a 28mm muzzle diameter on the STR Sport FC version.
The rifle is equipped with a Picatinny rail, mounted as standard on the action, for the mounting of riflescopes; the trigger is the Sabatti three-lever Match-type; and the feeding is now entrusted to Sabatti detachable AICS-type magazines.
