Within Sabatti's Elite product line , the new Oblivion is a closed action rifle designed specifically for F-Class shooting competitions at the highest levels.

The heart of the Oblivion is the tried-and-tested Blizzard action, here mounted on a closed, single-shot action, which further enhances its already excellent rigidity. The bolt offers great smoothness, wear resistance, and robustness, while the trigger is the acclaimed Sabatti Match three-lever.

The Sabatti Oblivion rifle is equipped with a massive barrel with traditional rifling (not MRR), made by electrochemical erosion, a process with which Sabatti obtains results superior even to the single notch always used on the most prestigious match barrels, as it allows for rifling with perfect, sharp edges both on the leading edge, on the trailing edge, and in the negative angles of the rifling cavities, together with a perfect surface directly at the origin, for maximum precision.

The rifle is available in two versions:

Oblivion F-Class TR , with 760 mm / 30” tapered barrel, 28 mm / 1.10” diameter muzzle, threaded 1”-20 UNEF for mounting Eric Cortina style tuning devices;

 Oblivion F-Class Open , with 760 mm / 30” cylindrical barrel, with 31.75 mm / 1.25” diameter muzzle, threaded 1”-20 UNEF for mounting Eric Cortina style tuning devices.

But much of the innovation offered by the Sabatti Oblivion rifle lies in its stock. The action and barrel are mounted on an innovative Sabatti chassis, featuring a robust "Barrel Block" coupling system that keeps the barrel and action free-floating within the chassis, while also allowing excellent heat dissipation thanks to its unique design, subject to international patent.

To this end, instead of the traditional 7075 aluminum alloy (Ergal), an Anticorodal alloy construction was chosen for the chassis, which has a higher heat transfer coefficient than classic Ergal, ensuring optimal heat dissipation from the critical area of the cartridge chamber and the forcing cone: heat that is transmitted from the barrel to the chassis through the Barrel Block and dissipated internally through special radiating surfaces.

The unique design of the chassis and Barrel Block allows for constant barrel temperature, cooling it with a very short transient between shots, to temperatures lower than those allowed by other solutions, standardizing both barrel times and the standard deviation between the first and last shots of the same series, to the advantage of shooting accuracy. All accessory elements of the chassis, such as the grip, the adjustable cheek piece and the lower Bag Rider, are made of polymer.
